Rooftop solar in Pakistan, under the 2026 rules
A unit you use is worth about Rs 35. A unit you export is worth about Rs 11.
New systems are on net billing since 9 Feb 2026, so the old payback sums are wrong. Enter your bill and the installer's quote. This page checks the price, the promised generation and the real payback.
The check runs in your browser. Only the quote request form sends your details, and only when you press Send.
Time of use tariff for loads of 5 kW and above. The export credit can be changed by NEPRA during your contract.

Four things are tested:
- Whether your connection qualifies for net billing at all
- The price against published ranges for that size
- The promised units against satellite yield data for your city
- Payback at today's export credit and at a lower one

What this page assumes
Daytime use is a judgement
No measured study of when Pakistani homes use power was found. The page uses 30, 45 or 60 percent of your units in daylight, by your answer. Your own meter may differ.
Savings are before taxes
Only the energy charge is counted. Sales tax and other levies on the units you no longer buy would add to the saving, so the payback shown is on the cautious side.
Tariffs are held flat
No rise in electricity prices is assumed. Panels lose 1 percent in year one and half a percent a year after. Battery replacement is not costed.
Price ranges come from installer and price tracker sites, since no official price list exists. This is a calculation aid, not financial advice.
