Bijli Bill Audit

For home electricity bills in Pakistan

One unit over 200 can triple your bill. Check that the unit was real.

Type in the numbers printed on your bill. This page works out what the bill should be under the notified tariff, names the rule that was broken, and writes the complaint for you.

Seven things are tested against the notified tariff and the NEPRA Consumer Service Manual:

  • Units billed against the difference between the two readings
  • A reading period longer than the billing month
  • Protected or lifeline status against your own history
  • The rate and the fixed charge against your slab and load
  • Missing or mismatched meter photo
  • Average billing beyond two months
  • Detection bill procedure

What this page cannot check

Taxes and surcharges

GST, electricity duty, the financing surcharge and income tax are not recomputed. Their bases could not be confirmed from the primary texts, so guessing would mislead you. Lower units and a lower slab reduce them as well.

Fuel and quarterly adjustments

These change every month and are charged on the units of an earlier month. They are left as printed.

Bills before 12 Feb 2026

The rates here are the schedule in force since that date. Older bills used different rates and had no fixed charge on lower slabs.

This is a calculation aid and not legal advice. The distribution company, the Provincial Office of Inspection and NEPRA decide disputes.
